This is probably my favorite book in the Serve series so far. I loved Ridley and Garrett was just hot, fifty-fifty if he drove me a little crazy. I liked how Ridley and Garrett had a history together; it provided a nice background story and actress tension. loved how Ridley couldn't stay away from Garrett, even afterwards he was a wiggle to her in the past, even so she was stiff and knew what she wanted.

She timidly dons the mask and lets the human being who enters her private room at the club work her trunk to a high pitch and send her soaring just to discover when the mask is off that she is facing Garrett and she needs to become abroad before she lets him break her middle a second time because he hasn't changed.
Garrett Reaver spent his last 8 years as an Ground forces Ranger. He fell for Ridley, just then his mom left, devastating him and his family unit. He couldn't take it if- no when- Ridley did the same, so he made certain to exist the one who left and destroyed any possibility of a new adventure. My opinion about the romance and the relationship never inverse and actually grew stronger that this story needed more than teasing out, but I could tell that this was not meant to exist a deep one so I went with it.
As to the story, whew boy, information technology sizzled. I was squirming and fanning myself in turn. Garrett was a powerful male, a dirty talker and a determined man of action while Ridley had gumption, feistiness, and sensuality to lucifer. These two were exciting and made a scene spark with emotion, dialogue and off the charts raw need. I was glad to have the surrounding storyline to anchor all that these ii had going on. Garrett had deep abandonment issues and made some jerk moves toward Ridley as a result. She was hurt by his actions and words, but she was a directly up gal who gave him more than one chance to go his mess together. He made a pretty big one thousand gesture in the end that soothed some of my ire with him and made his lady swoon.
The BDSM elements were mild- spanking, rope, mild exhibitionism, vibrator, flogger. The D/southward dynamic was where all the tension was. My before mentioned unease with this aspect was that I felt that Garrett relied on cognition of the teen girl he used to date and his ain desires to push difficult and fast the adult woman. Together they bring new meaning to the words public, brandish and affection.
With an introduction to Garrett's siblings - identical twin Volition and their firecracker of a younger sis Sara - I have high hopes that this is going to be another winning series from Katee. And knowing that Will'south volume involves a ménage, I'm looking frontwards to seeing what that brings.

They both held grudges from the past but they ignored it until the concluding minute. They never once tried to fix their relationship and instead they had sex, sexual practice, and more sex. When they actually tried to talk it out, Garrett and Ridley both made assumptions virtually each other and the whole mess wasn't fifty-fifty resolved. This didn't help that this little argument was thrown in very close towards the end and so when they "made upwardly," it didn't feel genuine. Information technology was actually rushed and crammed in at the end, leaving me to wonder what happened. I definitely remember this could accept been formatted improve and so that the plot didn't seem so dragged out.
Although I'm disappointed by this volume, I'm even so hoping this series doesn't fail me because I'thou excited to read almost Will.

He did what he had to do all those years ago, but he hasn't been able to forget about her and move on.When Garrett comes back to town and is adamant to show Ridley simply what she could have in a relationship with him, she's determined to ignore him, only information technology turns out she can't quite get him out of her system either.
I am a fan of Katee Robert… I actually am. I like her writing style and I, for the near part, similar her stories. AND three stars isn't bad, I'thousand only going to say that up front, because I want y'all guys to know that while I didn't love this story, I liked it. It was adept… just not as good every bit some of her other stuff.
I recall my problem came in that I didn't connect with these characters at all through the story and the story itself didn't actually work for me. I didn't love either Garrett or Ridley and that really breaks a story for me. Certain, they were somewhat interesting, but I couldn't go invested in their story.
I haven't read the other books in this series, every bit they are written past other authors, though I may cheque them out eventually. I do take the quaternary volume, too by Katee, that features Volition that I'1000 definitely going to read because the one thing that did intrigue me in this volume was Will Reaver.
If you lot're looking for something that is a flake BDSM lite and has an interesting premise, give this series a try!

Mistaken by Fate past Katee Robert is the 3rd book in the Serve series, with each being standalone. I actually liked this story, and I take to say it is probably my favorite that I accept e'er read of Katee'southward books. It was sexy and hot, and I loved the history and second chance romance between Ridley and Garrett. Ridley Ethridge has decided that she finally has the perfect stable guy for her in her babyhood friend Volition Reaver. She sets out to seduce him as a new sub at the exclusive erotic guild Serve. But when the blindfold comes off, Ridley discovers that the man pleasuring her is none other than Volition's twin brother Garrett. Ridley one time loved Garrett, until he broke her heart 8 years agone. Garrett was never able to get over Ridley despite the fact that he was the one who pushed her away years ago, and when he finds out that she intended to seduce his brother he sets out to be the just human being that she needs. Merely Garrett all the same has the aforementioned fears that he used to, and Ridley isn't about to let him run away again leaving nil behind but a broken heart.
I really liked Garrett and Ridley. They both had some issues and made some mistakes, but you could tell that both of them were never able to motion past the connection betwixt them. Not only did they take a good time together, but their needs and desires clicked on a level that they didn't with others. They were super hot together, and I actually enjoyed seeing things play out between them. Ridley was submissive and liked being told past Garrett what to do, merely she likewise challenged him and kept things interesting. Garrett was sexy and commanding, simply he wasn't a complete jerk. His ultimate goal was Ridley'due south pleasance likewise every bit his own, and he did a not bad task of taking care of her. I thought that the chemistry was there from the very start for these two, and I enjoyed seeing their emotional connection strengthen between them as they learned to trust ane another.
Overall, I thought that this was a really neat read. I enjoyed the characters and the story, and I thought that Katee Robert was able to tell a very satisfying story with these two. I definitely retrieve that this is the best volume I have read by her, and I wait forward to seeing more of the Serve world. I am particularly looking forward to seeing Will'due south story. I tin tell at that place is so much more to him than meets the eye, and I am excited to see what is below the surface. I recommend this story and series for those looking for a sexy and erotic read.
