Perinatal Services

Purpose—support reproductive health, improve pregnancy & nascency outcomes, and babe care.
We provide services in an eight county region in upstate NY: Broome, Chenango, Chemung, Cortland, Delawate, Otsego, Tioga, Tompkins.
Direct Care: Our Community Health Workers (CHWs) provide habitation visiting and coordination & back up for prenatal care, breastfeeding, infant care, family planning & contraception, quitting smoking, hospital & home visiting following pregnancy / birth.
Community Pedagogy & Awareness: Media messaging & programs on Safety Sleep for Babies
Reproductive Wellness Services, PPD & more than
Cribs for Kids: SCNY Chapter of Cribs for Kids, providing education and equipment for families in demand.
Professional Education & Support: Medical practices, hospitals & agencies' staff pedagogy on a wide diversity of reproductive health, baby health & safety, health insurance and more than. Community Relations Staff regular visitation to obstetric, pediatric, chief care practices & hospitals—providing resources & connection to customs services.
Quit Kit Smoking Cessation Programme: individualized telephone-based smoking cessation for pregnant women and all individuals caring for infants and children.

NYS Navigator program: employ certified navigation counselors who help individuals/families obtain health insurance through the NYS of Health Marketplace.
Community Wellness Advancement Program: aid individuals with trouble resolution for denied insurance coverage, medical services or claims. Aid with patient financial aid and presecription aid programs.
Health Insurance Direction and utilization educational activity: Assistance individuals and families with understanding and how to apply insurance coverage, PCP selection, benefits of preventive care, and admission to community based social determinants of wellness services.

Parents Equally Leaders (PAL) Family unit Resource Center - driblet in center for parents with infants and toddlers. Provide parenting education through formal & informal programming, interactive parent/child activities, assistance with basic needs of food and (children) vesture and referral to any/all appropriate customs services. We offer i-on-i mentoring for parents focusing on parenting and needed supports/services.
Supervised Visitation: location for parent/child visitation in partnership with foster care agencies; we provide interactive activities for visits, plus parent back up and teaching.
Condom Babe Courtroom Team Program: In partnership with Broome County Family unit Court and Dept. of Social Services, foster intendance agencies and dwelling visiting programs, will exist implementing this evidenced-based model in 2020 to help reduce the # of infants and toddlers at risk of - or placed into foster care.
Women's Empowerment Program: help depression-income women by providing life skills education and connection to resource and services with master focus on continuing educational activity, job training and employment.

1: tenured and highly qualified staff: Our executive director is the founding agency managing director with 27 years experience; 3 of iv program managers are tenured (20 years +( and the quaternary has xiii years tenure; all are considered experts in their respective fields.
two: Diversity and cultural competency: We strive to retain staff members who reflect the racial and ethnic diversity of our region and currently had 7 bi-or-multi-lingual staff members.
3: Board of Directors: our BOD members are highly engaged with our bureau - actively involved with committees and fund-raising, routinely monitor and update the agency'south strategic plan and actively support the Executive Director as needed.
4. Fiscal integrity: we accept consistently had clean (external) audits for over 20 years. Our internal controls are well-defined and practiced on a daily ground. We have up to date and detailed Financial, Investment & Donor direction policies which guide our deportment and piece of work.
